17th Century Oak Court Cupboard
This James 1 Derbyshire Court Cupboard is a fine example being well proportioned and possessing wonderful colour and surface. The centred arcaded marquetry panel in the upper section is flanked by caryatids. The solid planked doors to the upper section are well carved and are pin hinged . The framing is carved or channel moulded and has punchwork decoration.
The court cupboard has been in a private collection for over forty years and is worthy of attention.
